I hate to be the odd man out but really, this book was poorly written, slow, banal and ultimately does not (IMHO) deserve all the 5 and 4 star reviews. It reads like a draft, there is lots of "tell don't show," way too much detail about boring stuff, and in the end I just gave up and skimmed to the end. And I haven't mentioned the egregious editing: typos and grammatical mistakes all over the place. I'd pass on this one and hope this author gets a decent editor who could cut out all the unnecessary details and fix all the typos.Product details

I've loved Christina Tetreault's writing since I read her first book The Teacher's Billionaire years ago, and Hometown Love was another hit out of the park for me! We met Jessie Quinn way back in The Billionaire Playboy, so I absolutely loved seeing her character develop and who she turned into. Mack is such an amazing dad, and I adored the scenes with him and his daughter. There's so much to love about this book and not one thing I would change. If you've read Tetreault's books before, this one is just as amazing, if not more, than her others. If you haven't, then this is a great one to try a new author.
There were too many typos for an author who has published as many books as she has. Who is or isn't proofreading for her? This story was s..l..o..w and sex scenes were thrown in reluctantly, as if it was a requirement on a checklist. Just don't do it. Descriptions were repetitious and mentioned at odd times; for example one of the men is a love 'em and leave 'em type. We were told so several times. I won't pay money for any of her other stories but maybe if it's free and I'm totally bored I would read another.
I enjoyed the overall book! Interesting start and it just got better. Loved how everyone in town know what was going on in their business. Lol
Hometown Love was a true to life story. Sex insinuated but not described so it really is a clean read. Very enjoyable.
This could have been cut in half and still be too long. Very little plot or action. Sweet if you like that kind of thing, with a few sex scenes thrown in for good measure. Stereotype characters.
They both had known each other since high school. Both went their separate ways. Now he is back after a divorce with a daughter. She is still healing from a terrible breakup. But when they start seeing each other his ex decided that she wants her family back. Will she get her way? Or has her family moved on?
I really loved the really great story. I could not put the book down till I finished reading the whole wonderful story.
